Bouchillon-Ambrose Cup Results – August 16th

The game this week was a two against two Modified Alternate Shot Match play competition.

The Plantation Team took full advantage of its Over Flow folks (contributing 1.25 points) to defeat Oakridge by a score of 8.25 to 5.25. This moved Plantation up to 6 points for the season while Oakridge remained at 3 points.

Unlike the above match which was very competitive, the Marshwood team ran-away with their victory over Deer Creek by a score of 11.25 to 1.75. As Deer Creek had .75 Over Flow points, they only managed 1 halved match and no winning matches. Way to go Tim Sampson and Brad Seigel in preventing the Deer Creek shutout by halving your match (so should this be an atta-boy wrapped in a DFL?). This moved Marshwood up to 4 points for the season while Deer Creek remained at 3 points (should they have earned negative points for today?).

With just one match to go in the 2018 season, Plantation now has an insurmountable lead of 2 points, so they can claim #1 seed with 6 points. Marshwood with 4 points and both Deer Creek and Oakridge with 3 points are still in the hunt for #2 seed (and for the #4 DFL seed).

Given the Alternate Shot format, there was no Skins competition today. But everyone fully enjoyed the BBQ under the pavilion at Deer Creek which was the perfect complement to the usual beverages at the 19th hole.

So, stay tuned for the September 20th match when Deer Creek plays our champion Plantation and Oakridge battles it out with Marshwood. Beat the rush and register now! And also don’t forget to register soonest for the BA Cup Championship Tournament that will be held on Oct 10th & 11th when we see if Plantation can parlay its #1 seed into a Championship.
