The B-A Cup race is at the three-quarter point so this was a critical day. The format was four-ball (two man teams playing best ball). Most of the matches were close, extending to 17 or 18 holes, although there were few split results.
After a slow start in previous months, Deer Creek has won the last two months, while Plantation continued its strong run. Deer Creek beat Oakridge 12 to 8 while Plantation won 11 to 7.
The next B-A Cup match will be held on August 16 (modified alternate shot on the Deer Creek course). This will be the next to last match before the two-day finals in October. Plantation has forged to the lead with 5 points while Deer Creek, Marshwood and Oakridge are locked at 3 points each. So…please sign up for remaining B-A Cup matches now.
As usual on Bouchillon-Ambrose Cup day, a cook-out of burgers and brats took place, this time all players were able to cool off in the Magnolia Room.
