LMGA - 2 or more net balls Match - January 23, 2020

Two flights teed up for the shotgun start with 15 Foursomes (including blinds) braving cold and dreary conditions.  The play for the week was 2 or more net balls per hole.  The scores were widespread as the weather conditions seemed to impact the play of some.

In Flight 1, the team of Greg Snyder, Scott Happ, Paul D’Angio, and Michael Allen squeaked out a one stroke win over the foursome of Joel Klein, Kevin Brindle, Lee Sucharda, and Bob Benson (blind) by a net score of -13 to -12.

In Flight 2, there was no contest as Doug Duncan, Bruce Decker, Gef Fleming, and Steve Heacox scored a -19 far outdistancing 2 other teams that came in at -11.  Two teams from this flight were DFL for the day at -5.

Compliments should be given to the team of Bellucci and Skipper for juggling the groupings with a number of last minute dropouts due to the weather.  Pace of play seemed quite acceptable.

In the skins competition, there were only three winners for the day.  Gef Fleming, Ted Bumsted, and Rick Cricenti shared a healthy pot.  Special note is that all three skins were awarded to net birdies, NOT eagles.  Another indicator of the “cooler” conditions!

Next up for LMGA play, scheduled for January 30th on Palmetto is Pick 6 Scramble.  Players are split into 2 flights A-B and C-D with each four person team having to choose from three tee boxes evenly.  Shotgun starts at 9:30.
