LMGA ANNUAL TOURNAMENT AND DINNER
Wed and Thursday, Nov 4th and 5th
Mark your calendar for Wednesday and Thursday, November 4th and 5th. We have an event that you will not want to miss.
- The Annual LMGA Golf Tournament - Wednesday and Thursday:
- Wednesday on Oakridge with a 12:30 pm shotgun start, signup here
- Thursday on Palmetto with a 9:00 am shotgun start, signup here
- The format will be individual Stableford scoring with play flighted from the Tournament, Club, Medal and Forward tees. The number of flights from each tee will depend upon sign-ups.
- The LMGA Player of the Year honors will be decided by the results, and
- There will be a $100 first place prize and a $50 second place prize to be awarded for each flight from each tee.
- The format will be individual Stableford scoring with play flighted from the Tournament, Club, Medal and Forward tees. The number of flights from each tee will depend upon sign-ups.
- The Annual LMGA Dinner - Thursday evening:
- Starting at 5:30 pm - The best Guys Night Out on the Island - This will be a Special Event! signup here
- Our featured speaker’s presentation will be on “The History of Golf at The Landings”. We all know how important golf is in our community, so we think you will enjoy learning about the when, how and why issues concerning the development of our courses.
- The menu for the evening will also be educational and feature a range of foods that are native to our local market. It will include:
- Three appetizers paired with beverages:
- Regional Sushi – Fin Fish and Shellfish paired with Sake
- Back Country Bread and Butter Pickles, Preserves with Home Style Biscuits, Country Ham and Home-made Mustard paired with Seasonal Brew
- Southern Cheeses with Savannah Bee Honey and Georgia Fruits and accoutrement paired with Wine
- Walker Farms Spinach and Oyster Salad served with warm Skidaway Farm Honey-Mustard and Roasted Vidalia Onion.
- Stuffed Veal Breast Roulade with new harvest Georgia Pecans, House Cured Pancetta and Local Baby Mustard Greens
- Apple Confit with pecan crisp, Sweet Potato S’Mores and Carolina Gold Rice Beignets with sorghum syrup

- Our Annual Business Meeting will also be part of the evening's agenda
- Election of officers for 2016 and
- Awards for our Most Improved Player and the LMGA Player of the Year
The cost for the Tournament and Dinner is $50. If you can only attend the dinner, the cost is $40. In either case, please sign up on the LMGA website or call Rich Marr at (310) 367-7272.
