Calling All Male Club Members
You are invited to a LMGA Speaker Series event not to be missed! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, August 26 at Plantation Clubhouse. The Landings Men’s Golf Association is pleased to invite all male Club members to welcome two gentlemen who flew B-24 missions over Europe during World War II. They will inform and entertain us with their stories flying these often harrowing missions. Some of us have parents or relatives who were involved in WWII, and this is a chance for the next generations to honor them.

LMGA is featuring this as a tribute to the Greatest Generation; if you know any WWII veterans at The Landings, please extend an invitation as guests of LMGA.  We already have four including our two speakers.

The Speakers:
Gordon Fenwick and Paul Grassey, who between them flew nearly 50 B-24 missions over Europe during the war, will be sharing their stories with us. Paul and Gordon will share their experiences and those of many other courageous comrades during this momentous time in the history of our "Greatest Generation."

The Details:
Member bar cocktails start at 5:30pm followed by an “American Fare” dinner.  The speakers will begin around 6:30pm, with comments and questions to follow. Cost is $30 per person, with $10 donated to the terrific Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum, just off I-95 here in Savannah. Please call Dining Reservations at 598-3535 or register on-line on the TLC Website under Dining--Club Events Calendar, to reserve your spot.  The LMGA Speaker Series events are traditionally well-attended, so please sign up now if you are interested.
