Post-Matthew Golf Update

As you know, due to Hurricane Matthew, the LMGA cancelled both our Bouchillon-Ambrose Cup and the LMGA Championship.  We have now rescheduled both events and they are active on the calendar for you to register.

Below are the highlights of each event:

The Bouchillon-Ambrose Cup is now scheduled for Wednesday November 30th and Thursday December 1st.   Courses still to be determined.

You can sign up for both or either 1 day
REGISTRATION CUTOFF FOR BOTH DAYS IS SATURDAY NOVEMBER 26TH.
Both days are a 9am shotgun start.
All members of the winning team, regardless if you play 1 or both days, will receive a $50 gift card.
Day 1 matches will be Deer Creek vs Plantation and Marshwood vs Oakridge.
We will play 9 holes of modified alternate shot and 9 holes of 2 man better ball
Day 2 matches will be day 1 winners competing for the championship and the losers from day 1 competing for 3rd place, playing
2-9 hole individual matches.
Food and beverage will be served after each round.

The LMGA Championship and Dinner will be held on Wednesday December 7th and Thursday December 8th.  Courses still to be determined.

YOU MUST SIGN UP TO PLAY BOTH DAYS.
REGISTRATION CUTOFF FOR BOTH DAYS IS SATURDAY DECEMBER 3RD.
The cost for the Tournament and Dinner is $45.  If you can only attend the dinner, the cost is $35.
Players will be flighted by index and tee preference.  We will use Stableford scoring.
We will have a 2 closest to the pin contest on each day for each flight.  Winners will get $25.
There will be a $100 first place prize and a $50 second place prize to be awarded for each flight.
Starting at 5:30 pm on Thursday, December 8th, we will be holding the Annual LMGA Dinner.  (The best Guys Night Out on the Island)  This will be a special event.
The dinner will be serving stations, with high tops around to allow for mingling and interacting throughout the evening.
All beer, wine and bar drinks included.
Our annual business meeting will also be part of the agenda with the election of officers for 2017 and the awards for our Most Improved Player and the LMGA Player of the Year.

Before we had to postpone the events we had almost 100 players signed up for both days of the Cup and had 50 players already signed up for the Championship and dinner.   I’m hoping we can get the same amount of enthusiasm for the rescheduled dates.

One last bit of information.  We are hoping to get back to regular Thursday play possibly by November 17th.  It’s all dependent on when additional courses open.  We will keep you informed when that happens.

As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to me at ganklow1@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support and participation in the LMGA.
