It was an amazing day at Deer Creek.  The game was a scramble, whereby each team in the A flight teed off from the Tournament, Club, and Deer Creek tees (6 times from each tee during the round) and the B flight teams used the Club, Medal, and Skidaway tees (6 times from each).  The highlight of the day was when first-time LMGA member Charlie Bradford rang up an ace on his first swing of the day--hole-in-one on number 12!  It was also the first time he'd ever played Deer Creek.  Way to go Charlie!  The lowlight of the day was when he was informed that he hadn't yet entered the hole-in-one pool, leaving that $500 pot on the table.  Bummer!  Meanwhile, in Flight A, the team of Gary Anklowitz, Frank Schepis, Ed O'Donnell, and Jack Welch posted a record-breaking 52.  It was nice to see that Frank had something to crow about in his golf game, you know, because its been pretty ugly on the course for Frank lately.  And crow he did, for at least three minutes until the team of Bob Lindenschmidt, Bob Hainley, Jeff DeHaven, and Joe Lovas posted a new record of 51, with eagles on all the par 5s.  Very Impressive!  In the B Blight, John Bellucci, Kerry Fosse, and Bob Kaplan dominated the field.  Overall winners were:

Flight A

First--Bob Lindenschmidt, Bob Hainly, Jeff DeHaven, and Joe Lovas

Second--Gary Anklowitz, Frank Schepis, Ed O'Donnell, and Jack Welch

Third--Steve Chaplin, Scott Lauback, Greg Maloof, and Ron Monaco

Flight B

First--John Bellucci, Kerry Fosse, and Bob Kaplan

Second--Herb Gallagher, Steve McLeod, and Artie Shidler

Third--Nate Alexander, Bill Porter, Rib Rubin, and Hal Schmidt
