The game this week was 4-man teams with each team required to take 1 or more balls on odd holes and exactly 2 balls on even holes. The teams were divided into 2 Flights with the 4-man teams comprised of A, B, C, and D players.
With a resounding 4 stroke victory in Flight 1, the team of Bill Wolod, Don Snyder, Jim Golz, and Mike Waterman soundly defeated their competition with a score of -27. Sounds like the Handicap Police need to check these folks out! In Flight 2, the team of Bobby Jones, Scott Happ, Jeff Deluca, and Dave Angell squeezed out a 1-stroke victory with a score of -22. No one distinguished themselves in the Net-Skins competition where there were 6 single Skins winners, all with net Eagles.
We do have a shout-out for DFL in Flight 1. With a “runaway score” of -15 which was 6 strokes higher than the nearest competition and 12 strokes off the winning pace, the team of Roger Belanger, Bob Meng, Joel Rosenstock, and Tom Lanahan clearly earned DFL ”bragging rights”. But there is no such award for Flight 2 as all of the competition was bunched between -12 and -22 with no clear runaway at the bottom.
