Over 50 folks participated in a modified 4-person best-ball match where A-B-C-D teams were required to take at least one net ball on odd numbered holes and exactly two net balls on even holes.
In Flight 1, the team of Keith Krueger, Kevin Brandon, Don Snyder, and Tom Kunce was the winning foursome with a score of -27, beating the 2nd place team by 4 strokes. Flight 2 had a similar outcome where the team of Greg Snyder, Scott Happ, John Evans, and Dan Maluchuk shot a round of -25, beating their nearest competitor by 3 strokes. There was no clear “DFL winner” as there were several foursomes with scores in the -13 to -17 range.
In the Skins competition there were 6 Skins awarded. Jon Sweet was the only double winner (way to go Jon!) while Peter Altman, Kevin Brandon, Greg Snyder, and Bruce Decker all won a single Skin. It should be noted that Kevin and Greg were the only double winners, playing on the 1st place teams while also winning a Skin. A special shout-out to Kevin and Greg along with Jon on a very successful day at Plantation.
So, congratulations to all our winners. Next Thursday, Thirsty Thursday play will move to Oakridge. The game will be Flighted Stableford where four-man teams will be flighted by handicap where team scores will be the total score of all four players. Sign up now so that you don’t miss out on the action. And as a reminder, don’t forget that the new handicap system goes live on January 7th so get ready to post all those scores that occurred during the “black-out” period.
