The game was a 4-man team Scramble with an A-B and a C-D Flight where each team must hit 6 drives from 3 different teeing grounds and each player’s drives must be used at least 3 times.
In Flight 1, the team of Jeff DeHaven, John Higgins, Robert Jannino, and Jim Golz won a scorecard play-off against Harold Huffstetler, Bob Mulling, Brad Siegel, and Ed O’Donnell, both teams at -18. The Flight 2 winning team, also at -18, was the team of Bob Hainly, Bill Porter, Gary Daniel, and Tom Lanahan. And given the Scramble format, there was no accompanying Skins games.
As the losing teams varied from -16 to -10, there was no single team worthy of DFL honors. But there is certainly DFL honors being awarded to the team of Mike Wilson, Ken Aaron, Dave Breithaupt, and Allan Boyce for clocking in at the scoreboard considerably later than the others! Lost and found reports that one cart drove from PL #18 to Pal #1 for a while, perhaps trying to play another 18 before heading to the 19th (or would that be 37th) hole.
So congratulations to all our winners. See you next Thursday for our next Thirsty Thursday golfing get-together.
