Thirsty Thursday Results – September 27th

The game this week was 4-man teams that were required to take 2 or more net balls per hole. The 10 ABCD teams were split into 2 Flights. Flight 1 was a runaway with the team of Harold Huffstetler, Ken Ura, Dave Morrison, and Hal Carr scoring a 23, beating their nearest competitor by 5 points. Flight 2 ended up with a tie at 14 points which was won in a scorecard playoff by the team of John Schwonke, Dick Higgins, Tony Lombard, and Jeff DeLuca (sorry Hale Bishop, Eric Rosenstock, Gary Poleynard, and Jay Gould; if you only made that 1 putt).

Regarding Skins, there were multiple Skin winners but only one double winner – Milo Moore. Way to go Milo!!! And there was no single team who ran-away with DFL as there were 2 teams with single-digit scores (5 & 7) so they will remain nameless. Pace-of-play was good for a hot, humid day with all teams in at the scoreboard around the 4 hour mark. A shout-out to all the players!!!

So, congratulations to all our winners. And a special thanks to our Beverage-Master Tom Siepel who once again ensured that there were ice-cold beverages at the 19th hole. As a reminder, our next Thirsty Thursday event will be next Thursday October 4th at Deer Creek. The game will be 4-man teams who are required to take 3 net balls on red holes, 2 on white holes, and 1 on yellow holes. Sign up soonest so that you don’t miss out on the fun.
