|Nice Showing Yesterday at Deer Creek||
Great day yesterday at Deer Creek with 39 players competing in an individual competition within the foursome or threesome. We initiated a gross skins game as well as a net skins game with two cash pots. Paid out $55 to the 3 gross skins winners and $125 to 4 net skins winners. We enjoyed a 1/2 barrel of Abita Amber on the back patio at Deer Creek.
|LMGA Celebrates Closing of Year One||
By every measure the LMGA’s year-end events were a great success. The Annual Members’ Cup Tournament, a two-day Stableford competition, attracted 70 stalwarts who braved near arctic temperatures and stiff northerly November winds to compete. The Wednesday Plantation shotgun began at 1:15pm but most players were able to finish play and find their way back to the clubhouse without the use of flashlights, where a keg was tapped and substantial hors d’oeuvres were served. Friday’s golf was a morning shotgun on Palmetto.
