Celebrate Masters Week Landings Club Style!

The Masters tournament is only a month away and we are looking forward to our own Landings Club fun that week. On Wednesday, April 6, we will have our Annual Par 3 Tournament followed by our version of the Past Champion’s dinner with the Past President’s dinner. On Sunday, April 10, there will be an 18-hole tournament starting at 11:30am followed by a viewing party in the Plantation Ballroom. The tournament format will be 2 net balls of 4 with divisions for women’s men’s, and mixed teams. These events were great fun last year; sign up soon so you won’t miss out.

WEDNESDAY APRIL 6th

This is our own fun version of the Masters traditional Wednesday Par 3 tournament. Ours, however, will be a 9-hole, 2 net low ball team event for men, women and mixed 4-person teams on Palmetto and Plantation. We will kick off the celebration at 3pm with ceremonial first shots to the 18th green by some of our Club’s past presidents. The Par 3 Tournament will be limited to the first 144 players to sign-up, so please don’t delay! The Past Presidents Dinner The party will move indoors to the ballroom for our version of the Champions Dinner- a good, old-fashioned Oyster Roast and Low Country Boil to honor our past presidents. All TLC members (golfers and non-golfers alike) are invited to sign up for what promises to be an evening of fun, fellowship and great food.

SUNDAY, APRIL 10th

We’ve combined playing golf, watching golf, eating and partying for a full day celebration of Georgia’s preeminent golfing event that’s happening just up the road. The Golf: Starting at 11:30am, we’ll hold our own 18 hole tournament again, a 2 net low ball event for men, women and mixed4-person teams at Palmetto and Plantation, which should finish just about the time the leaders are starting the back nine at Augusta. Roaming beverage carts (two drink tickets included with entry fee) and a Masters-style box lunch, with your choice of three sandwiches right off the Augusta National menu (including the famous pimento cheese, along with chips and cookie and your choice of soft drinks) will help sustain you during your round. The Viewing Party: Once you finish your round, hustle over to the Plantation Clubhouse for our Masters viewing party, where viewing screens and big screen TVs - including designated quiet zones- will let you follow all the action on the Masters closing holes. A dinner of hot dogs, hamburgers and brats along with several sides and a sundae bar will be provided so you won’t have to miss a stroke. And, of course, there’ll be a member bar to settle your nerves, console you or help you celebrate as your favorite player finishes. Member bar and viewing facilities open at 3pm.

THE COST: Wednesday Par 3 Tournament is $18 per person. Wednesday Past Presidents’ Dinner is $28 per person. Sunday Golf, Lunch, Dinner and Viewing Party is $58 per person. Sunday Viewing Party and Dinner only is $30 per person.
