Oakridge Remains in the Lead in Yearlong B-A Cup Competition

The Oakridge team maintained its lead in the yearlong Bouchillon-Ambrose cup tournament, beating Marshwood 12-9 in singles matches May 21 on the Marshwood course. Deer Creek moved into second place with a decisive 11 to 8 ¾ win over the last place Palmetto team.

Oakridge currently has 4 points, Deer Creek has 3, Marshwood 2 and Palmetto trails with 1 point.

There are four more regular season matches followed by a three-day playoff to determine the 2022 championship team.

Membership Notes

Bob Lynn and his wife, Kim, moved to The Landings May 1 from Wilton, CT. Bob continues to work for Covetrus, an animal health company, and Kim is operating her sales company part-time from here.

Bob’s most memorable round was on the Streamsong Red course with the pro from the club he belonged to in Connecticut. The pro drove the fourth green and two-putted for a par. “I managed to birdie the hole from a fair distance away for a push. I was happy and, after a little bit, he was happy for me too!
