Team Deer Creek Dominates in BA Cup Competition

Despite an imminent severe storm threat that forced course closures later in the day, the fifth round of the Bouchillon-Ambrose Cup series—a Singles Match among 62 players—was able to play to completion, followed by the LMGA hosted barbecue lunch held in the Marshwood barn.

As it ended up, this season’s BA Cup competition is turning into a rout for the Deer Creek team, which is undefeated following the May 16 match-up against second-place rival Team Palmetto. Meanwhile, Team Marshwood notched its second win, besting Team Oakridge, which has yet to score a game point in the overall competition.

Deer Creek now leads with 5 points, Palmetto has won 3, Marshwood 2, and Oakridge zero. Despite the current imbalance, with almost a dozen rounds left in the season bragging rights for the coveted winner’s cup is still up for grabs.
