The game this week was individual play using the Stableford format. Players competed against other players with similar indexes where there was 1 winner per each foursome.
The winners for each of the foursomes were: Ron Thomas, Don Sturtz, Scott Stockslager, Bruce Bertkau, Dave Creasy, Gary Polynard, Jim Higbee, Gary Wood, Paul Warhola, Ted Bumsted, Dave Angell, Randy Stolt, Dick Higgins, Bob Gardner, Bob Hainly, John Bellucci, Richard Oswald, Pete Kusek, and Jon Sweet. Congratulations go out to all our winners!
A special SHOUT OUT also goes to Peter Koch who was our latest new member to join us for Thirsty Thursday play. Even though you were not a winner today, Peter, hopefully that won’t deter you from attending many more Thirsty Thursday activities.
A special thanks goes to the LMGA folks who continue to make these events huge successes while ensuring everyone stays safe and follows all the Corona Virus guidelines. Thank you, President Frank Schepis, for overall organization and beverage service; Tom Seipel and Larry Brown for handling our beverages; and John Bellucci, Steve Skipper, and Mike Munro for continuing to keep us organized despite many last-minute changes.
Next week our game with be a Pick-6 Scramble at Palmetto. 4-man teams will be flighted with A-B and C-D players. Each team must select six tees from three different teeing grounds. The A-B teams will use the Tournament, Club, and Course Named tees while the C-D teams will use the Club, Medal, and Skidaway tees. Individual Foursome tee times, and special scorecard and beverage handling procedures at the 19th hole will again be the order of the day. As a reminder this will be the last LMGA Thirsty Thursday play until July 30th due to course closures. So sign up now so that you don’t get left out.
